Use this Opera Software-developed application to manage your feeds, to manage a list of contacts, and to manage all your email clients. This is a properly good email client developed and offered for free by the company that came up with the most innovative web browser in the software world. Speaking about that, it must be mentioned that Opera Mail used to be a part of the Opera web browser. This changed when Opera 15 was rolled out to the public. Opera Mail was taken out of the browser, becoming available as a standalone application.

The Opera Mail installer for Windows is 11.5Mb in size, which is not much. When you run the aforementioned installer, a setup wizard shows up and guides you through the installation process. When you’re done with the installation and you run Opera Mail for the first time, you will be presented with a New Account Wizard that will ask you what kind of account you would like to create: email, newsgroups, or import email.

As is expected from the company that invented tabbed browsing, Opera Mail has a tabbed interface. The interface is divided into three panels. The one to the far left lists all your messages, your labels, and so on. From this panel, if you select Received, a list of all the emails you received are presented in the middle panel. And if you select an email from the list, its contents will be displayed on the panel to the far right.

Lots of useful functionality is put at your disposal for free by Opera Mail: monitor multiple email accounts, keep all your emails nicely sorted, reply and send out email messages, assign labels to messages, low-bandwidth mode, read and manage feeds, customize the interface, and so on. Suffice it to say that Opera Mail provides all the functionality you would expect from a mail client.

Opera Mail is a properly good email client and feed reader. It has an elegant interface, it puts lost of useful functionality at your fingertips, and it is offered for free.

Pros

Downloading and installing Opera Mail on your PC will take little of your time. Opera Mail is a mail and news client, meaning you can use it to manage all your emails and all your feeds. Opera Mail has an elegant, user friendly, and customizable interface. Opera Mail is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
